Sangam, the meeting point of the Indus and Zanskar Rivers, is one of Ladakh’s most stunning natural features. On the Leh to Srinagar Highway, some 35 km from Leh and close to the town of Nimmu, there is a vantage position where the magnificent Sangam of these affluent rivers travellers can be seen. These mountains are tucked between them in the freezing desert. When it is blanketed with snow, the attractiveness is enhanced.
