Nimo[a] or Nyemo is a hamlet and the administrative centre of an eponymous community development block in the Leh district of Ladakh, India (Tibetan:, Wylie: snye mo). It is 35 km from Leh in the Leh tehsil. The major beginning point for the yearly all-India river rafting adventure on the Indus River is Nimoo, which is a stop for all river rafting companies. Here, the temperature ranges from 29 °C in the winter to 40 °C in the summer. This region has very little plant cover because of the intense weather and harsh environment.
